Technical Artist

Using Unreal Engine 4 and Photoshop in Spring 2020, I learned how to make textures, material effects, and different types of particles and post processing effects using Blueprints and the particle editor. More details on these projects can be found in my ArtStation below.

3D Artist

Using tools such as Maya, Mudbox, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and more, I contributed to assets used in games or personal projects.

The Child of the Forest | Environment & VFX Artist

As well as being the producer for this project, I was also the only environment and VFX artist. Therefore, our art style involved low poly, cartoony assets and some effects; including trees, bushes, grass tufts, rocks, a ghostly material, a toon shader, and leaf and sparkle particles.

Personal Projects | Bust

I created a bust of the actor Sandra Oh. After modelling her, I textured her as well. This was my first attempt at a person and my intentions were to better understand the pipeline by doing it.

Zombie Ants VR | Environment & VFX Artist

For this project I was the producer, main designer, and the secondary environment artist and VFX artist. I created all the assets for inside the ant hill, some of the assets for outside, and the ant aura effect. I was also the level designer to place these assets.

Personal Projects | Other

I also created other personal projects of props, such as dice bags, containers, and weapons, attempting a whole person model, and more pictured below.

2D Artist

Being able to use Photoshop and Illustrator has allowed me to work on personal projects and help teams by creating 2D assets. Whether it's UI assets or posters, even videos, I am capable of creating them.

Window Washer | 2D Artist

My role in development  of Window Washer, a hyper-casual mobile game, was producer, designer, and 2D artist. I came up with the initial idea and design and wrote all the documents for the game. I organized the team schedule and task list, and I created the UI and screen art with their coded functionality and implemented the art assets. Below is a behind the scenes video I created for the team showing off the final game and features.

Personal Projects

I've also created digital art for myself, including self portraits, original art exploring silhouettes or greyscale gradients, editing existing images to have two of my favorite movies, fan art of my favorite game when it was first released, my first attempt at a seamless texture, and pixel art for one of the first games I ever made. 

Purpose

Of course the above art is only a sample of work I can do and none of which has clearly been mastered. Over time as I was dabbling in art, however, I realized my love and talent for production so art became a "jack of all trades, master of none" situation. Now, I use this knowledge to be a better producer since I understand the skill, time, and tools from first hand experience.
